Things to Keep in Mind
EWG Rating: 4 — This rating comes from adding the formula to the EWG Analyzer. The analyzer flags ingredients like camphor, algae extracts, and specific aromatic components based on generalized or oral-exposure toxicity models, not typical cosmetic use.
The essential oils may feel stimulating for very sensitive skin types or those who prefer fragrance-free skincare.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Notes
Many of the plant oils in this formula are generally considered low risk for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The main consideration is that this product contains essential oils, and the skin can be more reactive during pregnancy.
Independent testing has shown that essential oils may carry trace phthalate contamination from sourcing and processing (phthalates are chemicals used in plastics that can act as hormone disruptors). These aren’t intentionally added ingredients, but they may appear if a brand doesn't test the finished formula.
This doesn’t mean you need to avoid the product — it simply gives you the information to make the choice that feels right for you. If you're trying to limit phthalates as much as possible during pregnancy, a simpler formula without essential oils may be a better fit.
