My Story and Why Feather & Nest Exists

Hi, I’m Jada.

Feather & Nest started as a small green cleaning and organizing business, but it became what it is today for deeper reasons.

Before switching to green cleaning, I spent years regularly working with conventional cleaners like bleach, Fantastik, Scrubbing Bubbles, and other products I thought were just part of keeping a home clean. As I learned more about the ingredients in the products I was using and the potential effects of repeated exposure, I started questioning what I was bringing into my own home and using in other people’s homes every day.

Later, I began dealing with chronic health issues of my own. Testing and trying to understand what was happening in my body pushed me to look much deeper at environmental exposures, ingredients, materials, and the products we use every day.

That’s when this became much more than changing my cleaning products.

I started researching everything from personal care and household products to cookware, food, supplements, and kids’ products. The more I learned, the more I realized how difficult it is for the average person to sort through ingredient lists, marketing claims, conflicting information, and hundreds of products just to figure out what to buy.

That research is what Feather & Nest has grown into today.

I do the digging so you don’t have to. I research ingredients, materials, sourcing, and manufacturing (when relevant), potential contaminants, and the safety information behind the products I share.

My goal is to give you the information and researched options you need to make more informed choices for your home and family, without spending hours figuring it all out yourself.
