What I Like
I like how minimal this formula is. It’s essentially a straight blend of organic oils without unnecessary fillers.
Sweet almond and borage oils are rich in fatty acids and are often chosen to support dry, tight, or depleted-feeling skin.
Açaí oil adds antioxidant support, and the orange + spearmint combination gives a fresh, uplifting scent that doesn’t feel heavy or perfumey.
Things to Keep in Mind
EWG rating (EWG analyzer): 5.
In the EWG analyzer, this product can appear flagged for “retinol.” This is not because the formula contains retinol or retinoids, but because some plant oils (such as açaí) naturally contain vitamin A–related compounds called carotenoids. These are different from retinol and are handled differently by the body.
The higher EWG score is primarily driven by essential oils (orange peel and spearmint), which are commonly flagged for potential irritation or sensitization in leave-on products. This does not mean the product is unsafe, but it is helpful context for fragrance-sensitive users.
This product also contains sweet almond oil. If nut allergies or sensitivities are a concern, please note.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
This formula does not contain retinol or retinoid ingredients. Any vitamin A-related components come from plant oils and are different from retinoids, which are typically avoided during pregnancy.
Most pregnancy guidance focuses on avoiding high-dose oral vitamin A and topical retinoids. Trace, plant-derived vitamin A compounds in body care products are generally viewed differently, especially in topical use.
