Important Note on Water Bottles & Drinkware

When I’m choosing bottles and tumblers, I focus on what actually comes into contact with my drinks. I avoid nonstick coatings, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), aluminum in the liquid path, heavy metals like lead and cadmium, and materials that rely on chemical finishes or nanoparticles. What I Like

I like that the beverage-contact surface inside the tumbler is stainless steel, which doesn’t require coatings and doesn’t leach into drinks. I personally switch out the included straw for a stainless steel one, which further reduces plastic contact while keeping the tumbler functional and easy to use.

Things to Keep in Mind

The original lid and straw are made from plastic. While that’s common for straw-style tumblers, it’s something to be aware of if you’re trying to limit plastic touching your drinks. Swapping the straw is an easy adjustment if that matters to you.
