Repurpose Disposable Bowls (Bagasse, 20-Count)
Important Note on Disposable & Single-Use Tableware
When I’m choosing disposable products for occasional use — like parties or travel — I avoid plastics and coatings that can leach chemicals such as BPA, BPS, phthalates, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). I prefer materials that are plant-based, compostable, or otherwise low-tox and free from chemical finishes that may transfer into food.
Product Description
These disposable bowls are made from bagasse, which is the fibrous pulp left over from sugarcane processing. The set includes 20 bowls designed for single-use meals, sides, or snacks, and they’re often marketed as compostable or biodegradable alternatives to plastic or coated paper tableware.
What I Like
I like that these bowls are made from a plant-based fiber material rather than plastic or chemically coated paper. Because they aren’t lined with PFAS or plastic films, they’re less likely to introduce concerning chemicals into food during use. They’re practical for situations where reusable dishes aren’t possible and provide an option that’s more aligned with low-tox living.
