Repurpose Compostable Plates (Plant-Based)

Important Note on Disposable & Single-Use Tableware

When I’m choosing disposable tableware, I avoid plastics and chemical coatings that can transfer into food — including BPA, BPS, phthalates, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). I also avoid paper products that rely on plastic linings to function. I look for plant-based materials that can hold food without added chemical finishes.

Product Description

These Repurpose plates are made from plant-based materials and designed for meals, snacks, and gatherings where disposables make sense. They’re sturdy enough for everyday foods and don’t rely on plastic or chemical coatings to perform.

What I Like

I like that these plates are plant-based and free from plastic linings or PFAS coatings, which are common in conventional disposable plates. They feel like a cleaner option when disposables are needed, without adding unnecessary materials into the food-contact surface.

Things to Keep in Mind

These plates are best used with typical dry or moderately moist foods. For very hot, oily, or liquid-heavy meals, sturdiness can vary depending on portion size and timing.
