What I Like
EWG Rating: 1 — based on adding the ingredient list into the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer (lowest hazard range).
I love using this as the second step after one of their oil cleansers for a simple double-cleanse routine. The oil cleanser breaks down makeup, sunscreen, and buildup, and this bar helps purify pores so skin feels clean and balanced.
Activated charcoal helps draw out impurities and excess oil from congested pores.
Raw honey provides natural antibacterial support while helping the skin stay soft and hydrated.
Tea tree, manuka, and orange essential oils support clearer-looking skin while offering a refreshing, purifying cleanse.
Calendula flower and rosemary extract offer soothing, skin-supportive benefits.
Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed without the tight, over-stripped feeling common with harsh acne cleansers.
Things to Keep in Mind
This bar contains essential oils (orange, tea tree, manuka) that may be too stimulating for very sensitive or compromised skin.
Activated charcoal can feel purifying but slightly drying, mainly when used too frequently on dehydrated skin.
Sodium hydroxide is necessary for soap-making and is completely neutralized during saponification.
Allow the bar to dry fully between uses to extend its lifespan.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
The base oils (palm, coconut, olive), raw honey, charcoal, calendula, and rosemary extract are generally considered low risk for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
This bar also contains essential oils such as tea tree, orange, and manuka. These are not linked to confirmed hormonal or developmental harm at cosmetic-use levels, but some people notice increased scent or skin sensitivity during pregnancy, and essential oils may feel more stimulating on reactive or hormonally shifting skin.
There is no confirmed evidence that this bar is unsafe when used as directed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you’re sensitive to essential oils or experience increased reactivity during pregnancy, patch testing can be helpful.
