What I avoid / what I look for

I look for pillows made with 100% natural fibers and fills that are clearly stated and third-party certified. Natural cotton batting and similar plant-based materials align with my bedding approach —comfort without unnecessary additives. I avoid synthetic memory foam, polyurethane gels, and highly processed foams that don’t fit into a natural bedding philosophy.

Things to keep in mind

I recommend washing a removable cover before first use and using a low-tox laundry detergent, like MamaSuds, to keep the fabric feeling fresh without unnecessary fragrance or residue. Because this pillow doesn’t contain synthetic foams, it won’t have the same springy support as latex, but it offers a natural, lightweight option that many sleepers find comfortable.
