Natracare Organic Baby Wipes

Important note on baby wipes

There really aren’t “perfect” wet wipes because they need a preservative system to stay safe and usable over time. For me, the goal is choosing the most transparent option with a simple formula and avoiding the preservatives and additives I don’t want on sensitive skin all day.

What I avoid in baby wipes

With baby wipes, I personally avoid undisclosed or toxic fragrance blends, harsh detergents like SLS/SLES, and preservatives that are more commonly linked to irritation, especially methylisothiazolinone (MI) and methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI). I also skip formaldehyde-releasing preservatives like DMDM hydantoin and bronopol, parabens, phenoxyethanol, and ingredients like propylene glycol and PEG ingredients. I avoid triclosan and alcohol in everyday wipes.

Product description

Natracare Organic Baby Wipes use a 100% certified organic cotton cloth and a plant-based wipe solution designed for delicate skin. The formula includes moisturizing oils and botanical extracts, and the scent comes from essential oils that are fully disclosed in the ingredient list rather than hidden behind a vague fragrance label. The brand positions these as a plastic-free wipe option that’s biodegradable and compostable, with clear ingredient transparency.

What I like

I like that the wipe cloth is certified organic cotton, the full ingredient list is clearly disclosed, and it avoids many of the preservatives and additives parents are typically trying to skip with baby care.

Things to keep in mind

These are scented with essential oils (even though they’re clearly listed), so if your child is very sensitive or you’re in a “keep it ultra-minimal” season, you may prefer an unscented wipe option. Like all wet wipes, they still rely on a preservative system for safety, so I focus on choosing the most transparent option available.
