Montessori Stacking & Building Toy (Natural Rubber + BPA-Free Silicone)
Important note on stackers & teething toys
Stacking and teething toys are handled constantly and often end up in a baby’s mouth. When I’m choosing these types of toys, I focus on what materials the baby will actually be touching and mouthing most, and I look for simple, clearly identified materials rather than mixed or vague plastic blends.
What I avoid in stacking and teething toys
In this category, I avoid PVC and PUR materials and plastics that aren’t clearly identified. I also avoid flame-retardant treatments and heavily processed finishes. Even when a brand states that silicone pieces are heat-safe, I personally don’t put silicone or rubber toys in hot water or heat, since higher temperatures can cause materials to break down over time.
Product description
This Montessori-style stacking and building toy is designed for toddlers to explore stacking, sorting, and early problem-solving while also offering pieces that can be used during teething. The shapes are sized for small hands and encourage fine motor development, coordination, and sensory play through simple, open-ended use.
Materials
This set uses natural rubber for soft, tactile pieces and BPA-free silicone for the stackable elements. These are materials I’m comfortable with in baby toys when used as intended and cared for gently.
What I like
I like that this toy uses clearly identified materials and keeps the design simple and functional. The combination of natural rubber and BPA-free silicone supports both sensory exploration and early building play without unnecessary extras, making it a versatile option that can grow with a child through different stages.
