Important note on oxygen powders

What I avoid in oxygen powders and laundry boosters

For this category, I avoid chlorine bleach, optical brighteners, quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), glycol ethers and other solvent-type ingredients, petroleum-based solvents, methylisothiazolinone (MIT), dimethicone, and undisclosed or toxic fragrance blends. I’m looking for mineral-based ingredients that actually do the work, without unnecessary additives that can leave residue.

Molly’s Suds Oxygen Whitener is a mineral-based oxygen powder made with sodium percarbonate, sodium carbonate, and citric acid, plus organic lemon essential oil for a light scent. When mixed with water, it releases oxygen bubbles that help break down stains, deodorize, and lift buildup.

I use oxygen powders like this as a laundry booster for towels, sheets, and whites, and I also mix it with a small amount of water to make a paste for sinks and tough grime when I want extra cleaning power without harsh bleach fumes.

Essential oil transparency note: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing, so I prioritize brands that care about purity and keep formulas straightforward.

What I like

I like how short the ingredient list is, and that it’s built around mineral ingredients that make sense for stain lifting.

The lemon scent is light and doesn’t feel overpowering.

It’s easy to use in laundry, and it’s also one of the most practical scrub boosters to keep on hand.
