Important note on baby bottles

Heat, fat, and acidity can affect how materials behave over time, which is why I closely monitor the materials used to make bottles. My goal is to choose safer, more stable options and be mindful of materials for something used daily.

I prefer glass or clearly disclosed safer plastics, especially for bottles that regularly hold warm milk.

What I avoid in baby bottles

In this category, I avoid PVC, PUR, BPA, and BPS. I’m also mindful of contaminants such as lead, which can sometimes appear in decorative paints, inks, or coatings. I look for simple designs, minimal exterior decoration, and clear material disclosure so I know what’s actually in contact with the milk.

What I like

I like that the main bottle itself is glass, especially for warm milk and formula. I also appreciate that the materials used for each part are clearly disclosed. The design is straightforward and doesn’t rely on heavy exterior printing, which is something I look for when choosing baby bottles.

Things to keep in mind

Even with glass bottles, there are still silicone and plastic parts involved, like nipples and caps, so regular replacement and gentle care for those components matter. I also avoid putting the plastic cap in the dishwasher, as repeated high-heat cycles can wear it down over time. Hand-washing the cap is a simple way to be a little gentler with it.
