Living Libations Shine On Conditioner

This is a botanical, oil-and-herb-infused conditioner designed to smooth, soften, and boost shine without that heavy, coated feeling. I think of it as a lightweight daily conditioner that can also be used on dry ends for extra polish.

Ingredients

Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil; Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Juice; Rosa damascena (Rosewater); Calophyllum inophyllum (Tamanu) Oil; Citrus aurantium dulcis (Orange) Wax; Fucus vesiculosus (Bladderwrack Seaweed); Stellaria pubera (Chickweed) Herbal Infusion; Althea officinalis (Marshmallow) Herbal Infusion; Ulmus rubra (Slippery Elm) Herbal Infusion; Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) Herbal Infusion; Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) Essential Oil; Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Essential Oil; Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Supercritical Extract; Salvia officinalis (Sage) Supercritical Extract.

What I Like

I like that this formula relies on jojoba oil and herbal infusions for softness and slip, rather than a “silicone-smooth” feel.

The botanical blend, especially marshmallow and slippery elm, is known for helping hair feel more detangled and smooth, which can make a big difference if your ends get dry or frizzy.

It’s versatile. You can rinse it out like a normal conditioner, or use a tiny amount on the ends, even on dry hair, when you want extra shine and polish.

EWG rating (EWG analyzer): 2.

Things to Keep in Mind

This is a lighter conditioning style. If your hair is very thick, coarse, curly, or heavily processed, you may still want a richer mask in rotation and use this more as your everyday conditioner.

It contains essential oils (lime and lavender). If you’re highly fragrance-sensitive or reactive, consider this before using it all over, especially near the scalp.

Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations

If you’re sensitive, I recommend starting with a small amount on the ends only and avoiding the scalp at first. If that goes well, you can adjust based on how your hair and skin respond.

Essential oil transparency: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. I prioritize brands that test for purity and take steps to minimize contaminants and impurities whenever possible.
