What I Like

  • EWG rating: 2, based on entering the ingredient list into the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer, placing it in the low hazard range.

  • I like how straightforward this is. It’s basically a certified organic oil blend that supports glow and softness without a long ingredient list.

  • Jojoba, evening primrose, borage, and rosehip give this a really nice “barrier support” feel, especially when skin is dry or reactive.

  • Sea buckthorn and pomegranate add antioxidant support that complements a daily moisturizing routine.

  • It layers well. A few drops pressed into damp skin or over a water-based serum goes a long way.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • This formula contains citrus essential oils (sweet orange and key lime). If you are fragrance-reactive, rosacea-prone, or tend to flush or sting with essential oils in leave-on products, patch testing is a smart step.

  • Because this is an oil-based serum, very oily or acne-prone skin may prefer using a smaller amount or limiting it to nighttime.

Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations

The base oils and plant extracts in this formula are generally considered low risk for topical cosmetic use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The main consideration here is that the formula includes citrus essential oils, which can feel more stimulating for fragrance-reactive or highly sensitive skin types. If you know essential oils are not your friend during pregnancy, or your skin becomes more reactive, patch testing is a reasonable step.

Essential oil transparency: This product contains essential oils. Essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing, and Feather & Nest prioritizes brands that use certified ingredients and testing practices whenever available to help minimize impurities.
