What I Like
I really appreciate how short and straightforward the ingredient list is. Six core ingredients is rare, and it makes this a nice option for sensitive, allergy-prone, or reactive skin.
The formula relies on organic olive oil, shea butter, and castor oil, which help cleanse while still supporting the skin barrier instead of leaving skin feeling tight.
Being unscented and free from synthetic fragrance, dyes, sulfates, phthalates, and parabens makes this an easy choice for households trying to minimize exposure.
EWG rating (EWG analyzer): 2.
Things to Keep in Mind
Because this is a very minimal, unscented formula, it won’t lather like conventional body washes. That’s normal for soap-based cleansers made with oils instead of foaming agents.
Potassium hydroxide is used in the saponification process to turn oils into a cleansing base. While it may sound harsh on paper, it’s part of the chemistry of soap-making and isn’t functioning as a separate active ingredient in the finished wash. If you’re ultra-sensitive, patch testing is still a good idea.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
This is one of the gentler options for sensitive skin, due to its fragrance-free formula and minimal ingredients. Patch testing is still recommended, especially if your skin is highly reactive or compromised.
Essential oil transparency: this formula is unscented and does not rely on essential oils for fragrance, which can be helpful for those avoiding aromatic ingredients altogether.
