Instant Pot Duo Mini 3-Quart 7-in-1 Multi-Use Pressure Cooker

This compact 3-quart electric pressure cooker offers the same core functions as the larger Duo models in a smaller, counter-friendly size. It’s designed for quicker meals, smaller households, or anyone who wants the convenience of pressure cooking without committing to a full 6-quart appliance.

What I Like

I like that the inner cooking pot is stainless steel rather than nonstick. That means no PFAS, PTFE, or chemical nonstick coatings in direct contact with food, which is an important baseline for me with kitchen appliances.

The smaller 3-quart size is practical for single servings, couples, or side dishes like rice, beans, lentils, soups, or oatmeal. It’s also helpful if you’re short on storage or counter space.

It still offers multiple functions in one appliance—pressure cooking, slow cooking, sautéing, steaming, warming, and more—without needing extra cookware.

Stainless steel is durable, doesn’t chip or flake, and holds up well to frequent use, especially for wet cooking methods like soups and stews.

Things to Keep in Mind

As with all electric pressure cookers, the lid and sealing system include non-metal components. While food cooks in a stainless steel pot, the sealing ring is not metal and may retain odors over time. Some people rotate rings for savory vs. sweet dishes or replace them periodically.

The smaller capacity means it’s not ideal for large batch cooking or family-size meals. If you regularly cook for more than one or two people, you may prefer a larger size.
