Honest Dry Wipes

Important note on baby wipes

When it comes to wipes, there really aren’t perfect options once a wipe is pre-moistened, because wet wipes require a preservative system to stay safe over time. That’s why I love dry wipes as a low-tox workaround. You control what goes on skin by simply adding water (or using them dry), which takes a lot of the guesswork out of everyday cleanups.

What I avoid in baby wipes

With baby wipes, I personally avoid synthetic fragrance blends, harsh detergents like SLS/SLES, and preservatives that are more commonly linked to irritation, especially methylisothiazolinone (MI) and methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI). I also skip formaldehyde-releasing preservatives like DMDM hydantoin and bronopol, parabens, phenoxyethanol, ingredients like propylene glycol and PEG ingredients, and alcohol in everyday wipes.

Product description

Honest Dry Wipes are made with 100% sustainably sourced organic cotton and nothing more. They’re designed to be used dry or with water, which makes them an easy option for diaper changes, sensitive skin care, and everyday cleanups. Because you’re adding the water yourself, there’s no built-in wipe solution and no preservative system required.

They’re also a practical multi-use option beyond baby care, whether that’s quick cleanups, post-workout wipes, or gentle face cleansing.

What I like

I like that these are just organic cotton wipes with no added solution, so I can simply add water and keep things as minimal as possible.

Things to keep in mind

Because these are dry wipes, they don’t have the same convenience as pre-moistened wipes in every situation, but they’re a great option when you want more control over what’s touching skin.

You can make using dry wipes even easier by keeping them in a portable refillable baby wipe dispenser and adding water as needed. It’s a simple way to have ready-to-use wipes while still keeping full control over what’s touching skin.
