Important note on baby wipes

There really aren’t many “perfect” wet wipes because water-based formulas need a preservative system to stay safe and stable over time. For me, the goal is choosing the most transparent option with the fewest unnecessary additives, while avoiding the preservatives and fragrance systems I don’t want on baby’s skin day after day.

What I avoid in baby wipes

I avoid undisclosed or toxic fragrance blends, alcohol, harsh detergents, and preservatives that are more commonly linked to irritation, especially methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone (MI/MCI). I also skip phenoxyethanol, parabens, and formaldehyde-releasing preservatives like DMDM hydantoin and bronopol.

They’re fragrance-free and designed for sensitive skin, with a preservative system that avoids the ingredients I’m most careful about for baby products. Instead of heavier preservatives, they use sodium benzoate to help keep the wipes safe and stable.

The formula includes gentle plant extracts and moisturizing ingredients, without relying on fragrance or unnecessary additives.

What I like

I like the short, transparent ingredient list, the fact that these are truly fragrance-free, and that they’re EWG VERIFIED. I also appreciate that the preservative system avoids phenoxyethanol and MI/MCI while still keeping the wipes stable and usable.
