Haven Goat Toddler Formula
Important note on toddler formulas
No formula is completely toxin-free or perfectly “natural.” In this category, I focus on choosing the best available option while adhering to low-tox standards and understanding where compromises exist. What matters most to me is the carbohydrate source, the oil blend, and whether the brand avoids ingredients that even many organic formulas now avoid.
What I avoid in toddler formulas
When evaluating toddler formulas, I avoid filler-style carbohydrates and sweeteners like corn syrup solids, glucose syrup, brown rice syrup, maltodextrin, and added sucrose. I also avoid palm oil or palm olein, soy oil, and fish oil when there are cleaner alternatives. I’m cautious with vague ingredient groupings that make it difficult to understand what’s actually being used, and I personally avoid biotin, M-inositol, and beta-carotene when they’re added to toddler formulas, as these are ingredients many cleaner brands are now choosing to leave out.
Most formulas on the market contain at least one ingredient I wouldn’t ideally choose, so my goal isn’t perfection—it’s selecting the option that avoids the biggest concerns while keeping the ingredient list as clear and straightforward as possible.
Product description
Haven Goat Toddler Formula is a goat milk–based formula designed for toddlers 12 months and older. It uses whole goat milk and lactose as the primary carbohydrate, which is something I prioritize when comparing formulas. The fat blend comes from sunflower and coconut oils, and the formula includes added vitamins and minerals to support toddler nutrition.
This option fits within my low-tox standards because it avoids the filler-style sweeteners and oils I’m most cautious about in this category, does not include biotin, M-inositol, or beta-carotene, and is transparent about what’s included.

What I like
I like that this formula relies on lactose instead of syrup-style sweeteners, avoids palm oil and soy oil, and skips ingredients like biotin, M-inositol, and beta-carotene that I personally avoid. I also appreciate that the ingredient list is clear and not overloaded with unnecessary additions.
Things to keep in mind
This is a toddler formula for ages 12+ months, not an infant formula. Like any formula, it includes added oils and fortified nutrients, which are part of the “best available” reality in this category. It can take some time to see how a child’s digestion responds when introducing or switching formulas.
