Elk and Friends Stainless Steel Bowls with Silicone Suction Sleeves + Lids
Important note on kids bowls
Kids' bowls often contain warm foods, sauces, and everyday messes. I like bowls made from stable materials that are easy to clean and practical for real meals. Suction and covers can be genuinely helpful at this stage, especially when little hands are still learning.
What I avoid in kids’ bowls
I avoid plastic bowl bodies, aluminum, coated interiors, and materials that aren’t clearly disclosed. For stainless steel, I pay attention to the grade used. I personally prefer nickel-free stainless, like 18/0, but 18/8 (304) stainless is a common option and can work well if you’re not nickel-sensitive. For added components, I’m mindful of what comes into contact with food and look for simple, clearly labeled materials.
Product description
These Elk and Friends bowls use a stainless steel bowl paired with a removable silicone suction sleeve to help keep food in place during meals. The silicone sleeve adds grip and suction, which can make a big difference when kids are learning to self-feed. The set also includes lids, which help cover leftovers or prep meals ahead of time.
Materials
Stainless steel bowl (304 / 18/8)
Food-grade silicone suction sleeve (removable)
Plastic lid (BPA-free, brand stated)
What I like
For kids’ bowls, I think silicone suction and covers are genuinely useful—less sliding, less food flying, and a smoother mealtime overall. I like that the bowl itself is stainless steel rather than plastic, and that the suction sleeve is removable so everything can be cleaned thoroughly. The lids are a reasonable compromise for storage as long as they’re BPA-free and not made from PVC or PUR.
