Elderberry Immune Support | 16 oz (Rowe Casa Organics)
Important note on elderberry syrups
When I’m choosing an elderberry syrup, I focus on ingredient transparency and formulation. I want to know exactly what’s in it, how it’s sweetened (if at all), and whether preservatives are being used—or intentionally left out.
What I avoid / What I look for
I avoid long ingredient lists with vague terms like “natural flavors,” artificial colors, or preservative systems that aren’t clearly identified. I pay close attention to preservatives and prefer formulas that rely on simple ingredients and proper storage rather than synthetic preservative blends. I look for recognizable ingredients, organic sourcing where possible, and clear options for families who prefer to avoid honey.
Product description
Rowe Casa Organics Elderberry Immune Support is an elderberry-based syrup made with a short, clearly stated ingredient list. It’s available in two versions to accommodate different preferences.
The regular elderberry option includes purified water, organic elderberries, raw honey, organic lemon juice, organic ginger root powder, organic vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), organic cinnamon powder, and organic clove powder.
The honey-free option includes purified water, organic elderberries, organic lemon juice, organic ginger root powder, organic stevia, organic vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), organic cinnamon powder, and organic clove powder.
What I like
I like how straightforward the ingredient lists are and that there are no added preservative blends. The option to choose honey-free is also helpful, and the formula keeps things simple and easy to understand.
Things to keep in mind
Children under 1 should not consume honey, so the honey-free option is the appropriate choice in that case. As with any supplement or herbal product, this is something I’d run by a practitioner if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a specific health concern.
