E-far Stainless Steel Baking Pan Set (6-Piece)
Important Note on Bakeware
When I’m choosing bakeware, I avoid Teflon and other nonstick coatings, aluminum as the food-contact surface, and materials that rely on chemical finishes to perform. I also pay attention to California Proposition 65 warnings and factor those into my decision-making.
Stainless steel without coatings fits my low-tox standards because there’s no surface layer between the food and the metal.
Product Description
The E-far Stainless Steel Baking Pan Set includes six uncoated pans in various sizes designed for baking, roasting, and everyday kitchen tasks. Each pan is made from 18/8 stainless steel and features a rolled rim for strength and easy handling.
Because the cooking surfaces are uncoated stainless steel, food bakes and roasts directly on the metal rather than on a nonstick or ceramic finish. The set works well in the oven and under broilers, and the pans nest for compact storage.
What I Like
I like that these pans are stainless steel and uncoated. That means there’s no nonstick coating, no ceramic finish, and no aluminum surface involved in the area where food makes contact.
The range of sizes gives you flexibility for cookies, brownies, sheet cakes, roasted vegetables, and more, all using the same straightforward material.
Stainless steel is also easy to clean and doesn’t retain stains or odors, which makes it a good choice for frequent use.
Things to Keep in Mind
Stainless steel isn’t nonstick, so for certain baked goods or sticky recipes you may need to use parchment paper, silicone mats, or a light oiling to help with release.
