Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve Neem & Tea Tree Soap & Shampoo Bar
This multi-use bar for body and hair is made with a traditional soap base and includes neem oil, tea tree, and a blend of botanicals. I like it for low-tox routines that prioritize simplicity, less packaging, and a “clean scalp” feel.

What I Like
Neem + tea tree are classic “scalp-support” ingredients, especially if you’re dealing with oiliness, buildup, or that itchy, unsettled feeling, and you want something straightforward.
It’s truly multipurpose. One bar can cover hair and body, reducing product clutter and plastic bottle waste.
This is the kind of bar that makes it easier to keep a simple routine while still getting a solid cleanse.

Things to Keep in Mind
This includes multiple essential oils (tea tree, thyme, peppermint, lavender). If your skin or scalp is very sensitive, these can sometimes feel like “too much,” especially if you use the bar daily.
Because it’s a soap-based shampoo bar, it can feel different than a typical liquid shampoo. Some hair types love the squeaky-clean finish, and others feel like they need a good conditioner or occasional rinse routine to keep hair feeling soft.
If your hair is very dehydrated, color-treated, chemically treated, or textured, you may prefer to use this less frequently (or just on the scalp) and follow with a conditioning step on the lengths.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
If you’re sensitive, I’d patch-test first, then start by using it on the body (or just the scalp) before committing to full-body use. For many people, the easiest way to keep it comfortable is to focus the lather at the scalp and let the rinse run through the lengths, then condition the ends as needed.
Essential oil transparency: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. I prioritize brands that test for purity and take steps to minimize contaminants and impurities whenever possible.
