Bobbie Grass-Fed Whole Milk Infant Formula (14.1 oz)

Important note on infant formula

Infant formula is a “best available” category. No option is perfect, and different babies tolerate different formulas. My goal is to help families compare ingredient lists clearly and choose the best fit for their baby and their comfort level, without getting overwhelmed.

What I avoid in infant formula

In this category, I’m most cautious with filler-style carbohydrates and sweeteners like corn syrup solids, glucose syrup, brown rice syrup, maltodextrin, and added sucrose. I also avoid palm oil or palm olein, and I’m cautious with soy oil and fish oil when there are cleaner alternatives. I don’t like vague ingredient groupings that make it hard to understand what’s actually being used, and I prefer brands that are transparent about sourcing and testing.

What I look for (and how I choose)

I look for formulas that use lactose as the main carbohydrate when possible, avoid syrup-style sweeteners, and use an oil blend that doesn’t rely on palm oil. I also prioritize clear labeling, straightforward ingredient lists, and brands that back up claims with certifications or testing when available.

Product description

Bobbie Grass-Fed Whole Milk Infant Formula is a whole milk-based option designed to support complete infant nutrition from newborn through year one. I like that it leads with lactose as the carbohydrate source, uses whole milk for more natural milk fat, and avoids the “shortcut” sweeteners and palm oil ingredients many parents are trying to steer clear of.

It also includes DHA and ARA sourced from microalgae and fungi oils, plus choline and naturally occurring milk fat components from whole milk, which is part of why some families prefer a whole milk-style recipe.

What I like

A lactose-based whole milk formula that avoids palm oil and syrup-style sweeteners, with a clear ingredient list and a brand that leans into third-party certification and safety testing.

Things to keep in mind

If you’re switching formulas, it can take a little time for digestion and stools to adjust. If your baby has a known milk allergy, this won’t be the right fit since it contains milk ingredients, and it’s always worth checking in with your pediatrician if you’re making a significant change.
