Bioweaves Organic Cotton Pillow Protectors

Important note on bedding protectors

Pillow protectors sit directly between a pillow and your skin for many hours each night, so fabric choice and construction matter. I avoid protectors that rely on plasticized membranes or heavy coatings that trap heat, and I look for breathable, natural options that provide protection without compromising comfort.

What I avoid / what I look for

I look for protectors made from 100% natural fibers and avoid plasticized or laminated backings that can feel like a plastic wrap against pillows and reduce airflow. Certifications that reflect organic farming and processing practices give me more confidence in what I’m sleeping on night after night.

Product description

These pillow protectors are made from 100% organic cotton with a knit structure that feels soft and breathable against the pillow. The natural cotton fabric provides a comfortable barrier that helps protect pillows from everyday wear, dust, and allergens without relying on plasticized or synthetic layers. The encasement style fully covers the pillow, and the organic cotton construction supports airflow so the pillow underneath retains its natural feel.

Certifications

GOTS certified fabric
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified

What I like

Soft knit feel that doesn’t create a plasticized barrier
Encasement design for full pillow protection
Third-party textile certifications

Things to keep in mind

These protectors provide comfort and protection without the heavy feel of coated membranes, but they are not “waterproof” in the sense of plastic membranes. I recommend washing before first use and using a low-tox laundry detergent, like MamaSuds, to keep the fabric feeling fresh without unnecessary fragrance or residue. If you want additional spill protection, a separate cotton quilted layer can be placed beneath a lightweight protector.
