Important note on cleaning products

When I choose cleaning products, I pay close attention to what’s being sprayed into the air and what’s left behind on surfaces we touch every day. I avoid harsh disinfectants and preservatives that are commonly flagged for respiratory irritation or skin sensitivity, including chlorine bleach, ammonia, quats, synthetic fragrance blends, dyes, and methylisothiazolinone.

What this cleaner is

This mineral-based bathroom and shower cleaner is designed for regular cleaning using plant- and mineral-derived ingredients. It’s intended for managing soap scum and everyday buildup on common bathroom surfaces without relying on chlorine bleach or heavy disinfectant chemistry. The formula is water-based and better suited for routine maintenance rather than aggressive chemical stripping.

What I like

I like that this cleaner avoids many of the ingredients I actively try to limit in my home, including synthetic fragrance, dyes, quats, and preservative systems like methylisothiazolinone. The ingredient approach leans on simpler surfactants and mineral-based components instead of harsh solvents that can linger in indoor air.

It’s a solid option for people who clean bathrooms regularly and want something effective without adding unnecessary chemical load to their space.

Things to keep in mind

This isn’t a highly acidic cleaner, so heavier mineral scale or long-standing buildup may require extra dwell time or some physical scrubbing. I prefer using it consistently so buildup never gets to that point.
