WithSimplicity Beauty Toner for Pro-Age Skin

This aloe-based toner is made to support skin that’s starting to feel drier, less bouncy, or a little more reactive with seasonal changes. It blends witch hazel extract and rose flower water with hibiscus hydrosol and a probiotic ferment to leave skin feeling refreshed, comforted, and more balanced after cleansing. The scent comes from rose and frankincense, so it has a more botanical, spa-like finish compared to fragrance-free toners.

What I Like

  • EWG rating: 2, based on entering the ingredient list into the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer.

  • I like that aloe is the base, so this feels hydrating and supportive instead of drying.

  • The combo of rose water and hibiscus hydrosol gives it a really nice “skin feels refreshed and a little more awake” finish.

  • This is a great option when you want a toner that feels more nourishing than a basic astringent.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • This contains essential oils (frankincense and rose otto). Even when the rest of the formula is gentle, essential oils can be a sensitivity trigger for some skin types.

  • Witch hazel can feel a little too toning for very dry or compromised skin if you overuse it, so a smaller amount can be the sweet spot.

Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations

If you are very sensitive, rosacea-prone, eczema-prone, or prone to flushing, the rose otto and frankincense oils are the most likely ingredients to trigger stinging or redness. Patch testing along the jawline for a few nights is a smart step before regular full-face use.

For pregnancy and breastfeeding, this formula does not include retinoids or other commonly restricted actives, but it does contain essential oils. If your skin becomes more reactive during pregnancy or postpartum, you may prefer a toner without essential oils or fragrance components.

Essential oil transparency note: Essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. Feather & Nest prioritizes brands that emphasize ingredient integrity and transparency to help minimize unwanted impurities.
