WithSimplicity Beauty Toner for Acne-Prone Skin
This aloe-based toner is made to support skin that’s prone to excess oil, congestion, and breakouts without that stripped, alcohol-toner feeling. It uses witch hazel extract and a probiotic ferment alongside a small blend of essential oils (lemongrass, lavender, frankincense) to help the skin feel clearer, calmer, and more balanced after cleansing.

What I Like
EWG rating: 2, based on entering the ingredient list into the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer.
I like that this uses aloe as the base, so it feels more gentle and supportive than toners that lean heavily on alcohol.
This is a nice “reset” step after cleansing when my skin feels oily, congested, or like it needs a little extra help staying clear.
I also like that it includes a probiotic ferment, which is a thoughtful touch for skin that tends to get out of balance.
Things to Keep in Mind
This contains essential oils (lemongrass, lavender, frankincense). Even when the rest of the formula is simple, essential oils can be a sensitivity trigger for some skin types.
If your skin is currently barrier-impaired, over-exfoliated, or flaring, this may feel too stimulating at first.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
If you’re very sensitive, rosacea-prone, eczema-prone, or dealing with a flare (including hormonal psoriasis), the essential oils in this formula are the most likely ingredients to cause stinging, redness, or extra dryness. Patch testing along the jawline for a few nights is a smart step before using it regularly on the full face.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding, this formula does not include retinoids or other commonly restricted actives, but it does contain essential oils. If your skin becomes more reactive during pregnancy or postpartum, you may prefer a toner without essential oils or fragrance components.
Essential oil transparency note: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. Feather & Nest prioritizes brands that emphasize ingredient integrity and transparency to help minimize unwanted impurities.
