Earth Harbor Deep Sea Charcoal Detoxifying Mask
This detoxifying powder mask is meant to give skin a deep-clean reset without leaving it feeling overly tight. It blends Italian green clay and coconut-derived activated charcoal with cacao, coconut fruit powder, and a mix of ocean and antioxidant-supporting ingredients to help decongest and smooth the look of texture. The finish is more “clean and refreshed” than stripped, which is what I look for in a detox-style mask.
Ingredients

What I Like
EWG rating: 2, based on entering the ingredient list into the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer.
I like that this is a detox mask that still includes supportive ingredients like allantoin and zinc oxide, so it feels more balanced than a straight clay-and-charcoal formula.
The cacao and vanilla make it feel like a little self-care moment, not just a “treatment” mask.
This is a good option when skin feels congested, dull, or like it needs a deeper clean.
Things to Keep in Mind
This contains multiple citrus peel oils (orange, lemon, mandarin, bergamot, tangerine, clementine). If you are fragrance-reactive, rosacea-prone, or currently barrier-impaired, those aromatic oils are the most likely reason this could feel tingly or irritating.
Clay and charcoal can feel drying if overused. If your skin runs dry, shorter wear time or less frequent use is usually the sweet spot.
Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations
This formula does not include retinoids or other commonly pregnancy-restricted skincare actives. For sensitive or reactive skin, the main watch-outs are the citrus peel oils and bergamot oil, which can be more stimulating for fragrance-sensitive skin types. If you are eczema- or rosacea-prone, or if you are actively flaring, patch testing is a reasonable step before using it on the full face.
Essential oil transparency note: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. Feather & Nest prioritizes brands that prioritize purity practices and ingredient transparency to help minimize unwanted impurities.
