What I like:
Uses potent botanical actives like neem and tea tree, which have traditional uses for scalp health, oily skin, and irritation.
Multi-use bar (hair + body), which may reduce product clutter.
Vegan and cruelty-free, with a commitment to fewer synthetic ingredients and more sustainable packaging.
Excellent option if you’re targeting an irritated or oily scalp as part of your low-tox hair care rotation.
Things to keep in mind:
Contains several essential oils (tea tree, thyme, peppermint, lavender) — these can be sensitizing for some users, particularly if you have very sensitive skin, scalp issues, or are pregnant/breastfeeding.
As a soap/shampoo bar with cold-processed ingredients (like sodium hydroxide during production), the pH might be higher than that of typical liquid shampoos, which could feel different on hair/scalp.
If your hair is dehydrated, chemically treated, or textured, you may find a bar formula less creamy or rich than traditional conditioners/shampoos — you might need a supporting conditioner.
While it is vegan and “natural”, the essential oils and botanical extracts still present the possibility of irritation.
