100% PURE Burdock & Neem Healthy Scalp Conditioner

A balancing conditioner made for scalp support and softer, healthier-looking hair. I think of this one as a “scalp-focused” conditioner that still gives moisture and slip, especially if dryness, itchiness, or flakes are part of your routine.

Ingredients

Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice; Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant-Derived); Glycerin (Vegetable); Isoamyl Laurate (Beet-Derived); Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil; Argania Spinosa (Organic Argan) Kernel Oil; Simmondsia Chinensis (Organic Jojoba) Seed Oil; Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (MCT Coconut Oil); Arctium Lappa (Organic Burdock) Root; Azadirachta Indica (Organic Neem) Leaf Extract; Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract; Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf; Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil; Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

What I Like

I like that this one is designed with the scalp in mind, not just how your hair looks after styling. Burdock, neem, and nettle are the stars here, and they’re often chosen for that “fresh, balanced scalp” feel.

The base is still moisturizing and softening (aloe, glycerin, avocado oil, argan, jojoba), so you’re not sacrificing that conditioned feel just because it’s scalp-focused.

It’s a nice pick if you want a conditioner that feels clarifying and hydrating at the same time.

EWG rating (EWG analyzer): 2.

Things to Keep in Mind

This includes peppermint and tea tree, plus multiple botanicals. That can be amazing for some scalps, but if you’re extremely sensitive, this is one to introduce slowly.

If your main goal is intense repair for very damaged or over-processed hair, you may still want to rotate in a richer, more “mask-like” conditioner alongside this one.

Because it’s marketed for scalp balance, some people prefer using it more strategically (scalp/roots when needed, then a richer conditioner just on the ends).

Sensitive Skin & Pregnancy Considerations

If your scalp is reactive, I’d patch test first and start by using it primarily from mid-lengths to ends, then work closer to the scalp only if you tolerate it well.

If you’re pregnant, nursing, or shopping for a kid, I’d just be mindful that peppermint and tea tree can feel “strong” on very sensitive skin. This isn’t meant to be alarming—just a gentle note to listen to your body and choose what feels best for you.

Essential oil transparency: essential oils can carry trace contaminants depending on sourcing and processing. I prioritize brands that test for purity and take steps to minimize contaminants and impurities whenever possible.
