INIKA Organic Eye Pencil
A creamy, natural eye pencil designed for sensitive eyes — formulated with mineral pigments, botanical oils, and plant-derived waxes to deliver smooth, richly pigmented eyeliner without the use of harsh synthetics. This pencil glides on comfortably and is well-suited for daily wear on delicate skin.
Ingredients:
Formulated with octyldodecyl stearoyl stearate, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, C10–18 triglycerides, hydrogenated vegetable oil, Copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, mica, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, oryzanol (rice-derived antioxidant complex), tocopherol (vitamin E), glyceryl caprylate, benzyl alcohol, and may contain (+/-) titanium dioxide (CI 77891) and iron oxides (CI 77499), depending on shade.
Certifications:
COSMOS Natural / Organic Certified
Certified Vegan
Certified Cruelty-Free
Halal Certified
These certifications provide added reassurance that ingredients are responsibly sourced, manufacturing is tightly controlled, animal testing is avoided, and contaminants such as heavy metals are monitored.
What I like:
Uses mineral pigments, botanical oils, and natural waxes instead of petrochemicals, parabens, or synthetic dyes.
Coconut oil, vitamin E, and plant waxes help nourish and protect the delicate eye area while delivering smooth glide.
Works well for sensitive eyes and reactive skin compared to conventional eyeliners.
Clean, low-tox formulation that avoids known high-risk cosmetic ingredients.
EWG rating: 3 — this score is driven by potential mineral contamination concerns, not because the formula contains intentionally added harmful ingredients. INIKA’s third-party certifications provide added assurance that heavy metals and unwanted toxins are tested for and controlled during sourcing and manufacturing.
Things to keep in mind:
Because the formula is creamy and oil-based, it may smudge more easily on oily lids — setting may help extend wear.
Contains benzyl alcohol, which can be mildly irritating for highly sensitive eyes — patch testing is important.
Natural formulas may not wear as long as conventional waterproof liners without a setting technique.
Color intensity can vary by shade due to mineral pigment composition.
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding Notes:
The mineral pigments, coconut oil, vegetable waxes, rice-derived oryzanol, and vitamin E are considered low risk for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Carnauba and candelilla waxes are plant-based structural waxes and are considered safe for topical pregnancy use.
Benzyl alcohol, when used in very small cosmetic preservation amounts, is generally considered compatible with pregnancy in topical products, though those with extremely sensitive skin should take note.
This formula contains no retinoids, chemical dyes, or hormone-disrupting preservatives.
As always, patch testing is recommended, especially as eye sensitivity can increase during pregnancy and postpartum.
