W3LL PEOPLE Expressionist Lengthening Mascara
A plant-based, lengthening mascara designed to define and extend lashes using botanical waxes, conditioning oils, and mineral-safe pigments — offering a lower-tox alternative to conventional mascaras without sacrificing performance.
Ingredients:
Formulated with water (aqua), Copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, hydrogenated jojoba oil, glyceryl stearate, glycerin, Acacia senegal gum, stearic acid, Oryza sativa (rice) bran wax, palmitic acid, oleic/linoleic/linolenic polyglycerides, Shorea robusta resin, octyldodecanol, aminomethyl propanol, xanthan gum, 1,2-hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, sodium dehydroacetate, and cellulose.
Certifications:
EWG Verified
This certification provides third-party assurance that the formula meets EWG’s strictest standards for ingredient safety, transparency, and contaminant controls.
What I like:
Uses a wax- and oil-based formula instead of petroleum-heavy solvents.
Jojoba oil and glycerin help condition lashes and prevent dryness.
Carnauba wax and rice bran wax build length and structure without heavy synthetic film-formers.
Acacia gum and cellulose support flexible hold and lash separation.
Avoids parabens, phthalates, and heavy conventional preservatives.
EWG rating: 2 — low hazard range based on ingredient profile and supported by its EWG Verified status.
Things to keep in mind:
This is a natural, conditioning mascara, not a waterproof formula.
May smudge slightly in very humid conditions or on very oily lash lines.
Plant wax formulas often wear softer over long days than conventional long-wear mascaras.
As with all mascaras, replace regularly to avoid eye irritation.
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding Notes:
Carnauba wax, rice bran wax, jojoba oil, glycerin, stearic acid, palmitic acid, and polyglycerides are all considered low risk and safe for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Acacia gum, cellulose, xanthan gum, and Shorea resin are plant-derived structural ingredients and are considered safe for topical cosmetic use.
1,2-Hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, and sodium dehydroacetate are modern cosmetic preservatives considered compatible with pregnancy at regulated cosmetic levels.
This formula contains no retinoids, chemical dyes, or hormone-disrupting preservatives.
Since this is a mascara (not a loose powder), inhalation concerns are minimal.
As always, patch testing is recommended, especially as eye sensitivity can increase during pregnancy and postpartum.
