What I like:
EWG Rating: 2 — low hazard
Uses organic castor oil to condition and support lash health
Carnauba wax provides structure and bold lash definition
Magnolia bark extract (honokiol) offers natural antioxidant and antimicrobial support
Vitamin E + sunflower oil helps nourish and protect lashes
Uses iron oxides for pigment, not synthetic dyes
No petroleum-derived ingredients
No synthetic fragrance
Stronger hold and volume compared to many natural mascaras
Things to keep in mind:
This is a bold, volumizing formula so that it may feel heavier than length-only mascaras.
Still not an actual waterproof mascara.
Plant wax formulas can wear off more quickly than conventional long-wear mascaras.
As with all mascaras, replace regularly to prevent eye irritation.
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding Notes:
Carnauba wax, castor oil, sunflower oil, stearic acid, vitamin E, glyceryl stearate, and plant gums are considered low risk and safe for topical cosmetic use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Magnolia bark extract (honokiol) is used at very low cosmetic levels as a natural preservative and antioxidant and is not classified as a reproductive or developmental toxin when used topically.
Propanediol and pentylene glycol are sugar-derived humectants and preservative boosters that are considered pregnancy-compatible at cosmetic concentrations, with the primary potential concern being skin or eye irritation in very sensitive individuals.
This formula contains no retinoids, chemical dyes, PFAS, endocrine-disrupting preservatives, or petroleum ingredients.
Because this is a mascara (not a loose powder), inhalation exposure is minimal.
As always, patch testing is recommended, especially during pregnancy and postpartum, when eye sensitivity can be heightened.
