Primally Pure Cleansing Oil (Dry Skin)
A gentle, botanical cleansing oil blended with several organic carrier oils and essential oils — designed to remove makeup and impurities while nourishing and supporting skin balance, especially for dry or sensitive skin.
Ingredients:
Organic jojoba oil, organic apricot kernel oil, organic avocado oil, organic castor oil, organic rosehip oil, essential oils of organic orange, organic geranium, organic lavender, and organic peppermint, organic rosemary extract, non-GMO vitamin E.
What I like:
EWG Rating: 2 — low hazard, reflecting a relatively safe ingredient profile for an oil-based cleanser.
The formula uses only organic carrier oils and botanical oils, with no petrochemicals, synthetic preservatives, or plastic-derived ingredients.
Jojoba, apricot, avocado, castor, and rosehip oils provide deep nourishment and help dissolve makeup and sunscreen without stripping skin’s natural oils.
Vitamin E offers antioxidant support to help protect skin from oxidative stress.
The oil-based texture is excellent for dry, sensitive, or compromised skin barriers, leaving skin soft and hydrated rather than tight or stripped.
Things to keep in mind:
Because this contains essential oils (orange, geranium, lavender, peppermint, rosemary), there is a higher risk of irritation, especially for extremely sensitive skin or skin with broken barriers.
As with all oil cleansers, rinse thoroughly to ensure no residue remains, especially if you have acne-prone or oily skin patches.
The presence of citrus essential oil (orange) means sun sensitivity might be a consideration — especially on freshly cleansed or exfoliated skin.
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding Notes:
Carrier oils (jojoba, apricot kernel, avocado, castor, rosehip) and vitamin E are generally considered low risk and safe for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Because this contains multiple essential oils, including citrus (orange), geranium, lavender, peppermint, and rosemary, many pregnancy-safe skincare practitioners recommend avoiding or minimizing essential-oil–heavy products, especially in the first trimester or on sensitive skin.
If you choose to use it while pregnant or nursing, patch testing is advised, and it may be wise to use it sparingly or opt for more neutral, fragrance-free oils instead.
