What I Like
EWG Rating: 2 — low hazard, based on using the EWG Skin Deep Analyzer to assess overall ingredient safety.
Uses botanical oils that help balance oil production instead of stripping the skin, which can reduce rebound oil and irritation.
Effectively dissolves makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum, and daily grime without disrupting the skin barrier.
Includes pomegranate seed oil and vitamin E to support antioxidant defense against environmental stressors.
Leaves skin feeling clean, calm, and balanced, not tight, dry, or congested.
A gentler alternative for acne-prone skin compared to traditional foaming or medicated cleansers.
Things to Keep in Mind
This formula contains essential oils (orange, lavender, geranium, peppermint, rosemary), which may irritate in very sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin.
As with all oil cleansers, it is important to rinse thoroughly to avoid residue that could clog pores in acne-prone areas.
The presence of citrus essential oil (orange) may increase sun sensitivity, particularly if used before prolonged sun exposure.
Those new to oil cleansing may prefer using this as part of a double-cleanse routine for best results.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Notes
The carrier oils (jojoba, castor, avocado, pomegranate) and vitamin E are generally considered low risk for topical use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Because this cleanser contains multiple essential oils, many pregnancy-focused practitioners recommend limiting essential-oil–heavy skincare, particularly during the first trimester.
If used during pregnancy or while nursing, patch testing is advised.
